FAQ
Q. Why am I a target?
Q. What types of scans are available?
| Nmap | Nikto | SQLiX | Assessment |
|---|---|---|---|
| FREE | FREE | FREE | $150 USD |
A. There are four types of Vulnerability scanning offered.
The first three types are part of our FREE services and based on a standard security tool scan of your host. This scan is will result in a technical report consisting of the raw output from the various tools that we use. This is helpful for those who are technically inclined and willing to research the results.
The Final option is a Full Vulnerability Assessment. This scan type uses a combination of tools that comprise our Vulnerability Scan Tool Kit, giving you an accurate assessment of your website and web servers security status. This scan is conducted against a web address or IP and will crawl your web server and web site looking for vulnerabilities that may be exploited by hackers. A detailed technical report will be sent to you following the completion of the scan with interpretations and recommended remediation to assist you in securing your system.
Q. What software do you use for Vulnerability scanning
A. We use a variety of leading open source tools including: Nmap, Nikto, SQLix and Nessus.
Q. Is this not illegal?
A. No. This is a legitimate security service provided for the use by web site or internet server owners and operators. This service is only to be used by people with permission to have an audit conducted on the nominated host or site.
Q. Hackers are not the bad guys they are called Criminals!
A. While we are fully aware of the debate around the definition of the word hacker, in reality it is an easily recognized word that has come to mean breaking into computers. Clearly the services we provide are to aid in protection against “Blackhat” hackers and criminals (and the odd teenage script kiddie who may refer to himself as a Greyhat).
Q. I detected an unauthorized scan of my host / site!!
A. Please use the contact form to provide details. We will investigate the transaction and conduct an investigation for fraudulent and illegal activities.
Q. What is your privacy policy?
A. Privacy
